1. These terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ParkAlert (“ParkAlert”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the ParkAlert apps for iOS and Android, this website and the services behind them (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use ParkAlert
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need a mobile phone number that can receive a sign-in code by SMS. One person may hold one account.
- Some features — such as registering a vehicle or calling — require you to verify your identity with your Qatar ID (QID), and a vehicle with its registration card (Istimara).
- ParkAlert opens country by country; a feature may not be available where you are.
3. Your account and vehicles
- Keep your phone and sign-in codes secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- The documents and details you submit must be genuine, current and your own.
- Only register a vehicle you own or are authorised to use. When you sell a vehicle or stop using it, mark it as sold or remove it so the plate can pass to its new owner.
- We may refuse, suspend or reverse a verification or a vehicle registration if the documents do not check out, or if another person proves they own the vehicle.
4. Using ParkAlert responsibly
ParkAlert exists so that drivers can sort out parking situations politely and privately. You agree not to:
- send alerts, messages or calls that are false, abusive, threatening, harassing, sexual, discriminatory or spam;
- use plate lookups or alerts to follow, identify, locate or track a person, or to find out who owns a vehicle;
- try to learn another user’s real identity, or share another user’s personal information;
- impersonate anyone, including ParkAlert staff or the authorities;
- register a vehicle you have no right to, or upload documents that are not yours or that have been altered;
- get around rate limits, blocks, suspensions or feature restrictions, or use more than one account to do so;
- interfere with the Service, probe it for weaknesses without our permission, scrape it, or access it other than through our apps;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
Other users can block you and report you. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice where safety requires it.
5. ParkAlert is not an emergency service
We cannot guarantee that an alert, message or call will be delivered, seen or answered, or how quickly. ParkAlert is not a parking-enforcement, towing or law-enforcement service. In an emergency, call 999.
6. Paid plans
ParkAlert is free to use. Premium and Premium Plus are optional paid subscriptions that raise limits — such as the number of vehicles you can register, your monthly call minutes and how many maintenance items you can track per vehicle — and add features such as the vehicle vault, reminders, exports and, on Premium Plus, AI summaries and the assistant. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy, and may change over time.
- Billing. Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, and the store — not ParkAlert — handles your payment.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. The store charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling. Cancel or manage the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings (the app’s Subscription screen links there). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Changing plans. Moving up — from Premium to Premium Plus — starts straight away, and the store credits what is left of your current period. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal, and you keep your current plan until then.
- When a plan ends. Nothing in your vault is deleted. It becomes read-only: you can still open, save and delete your documents, but not add new ones until you subscribe again. The maintenance trackers you set up stay, but reminders stop and adding more waits until you subscribe again.
- Deleting your account does not cancel it. Only the store can stop a store subscription, so cancel it before you delete your account, or you will keep being charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Contact them to request one.
- Price changes are communicated by the store under its rules, and you can cancel before a new price applies.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the messages, documents and other content you send or upload. You give ParkAlert permission to store, transmit, display and process that content as needed to run the Service — for example, to deliver your message to the person you are talking with, to review it if it is reported, and, on Premium Plus, to have AI read your vault documents so it can summarise them and answer your questions. You are responsible for what you send and upload, and only upload documents you have the right to keep.
8. AI features and exports
Summaries and assistant answers are generated by AI from your own records. They can be incomplete or wrong, so check the document itself before relying on anything important — a date, an amount, an expiry or a service interval. They are not professional mechanical, legal, financial or insurance advice.
A vehicle export contains the records you chose to keep in ParkAlert, as you kept them. When you share one — for example with the buyer of your car — you decide who receives it, and ParkAlert does not vouch for its accuracy or completeness to them.
9. Our app and brand
The Service, including the apps, their design, text and software, and the ParkAlert name and logo, belong to ParkAlert and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control, for their intended purpose and under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer them except where the law allows it.
10. Changes and availability
We are continually improving ParkAlert. We may add, change or remove features, change limits, or stop offering the Service in a country. We aim to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using ParkAlert and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing the Service. The sections on content, disclaimers, liability and governing law continue to apply after your account ends.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about the Service beyond those in these Terms, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other users, for how another driver responds to an alert, or for any parking fine, towing, damage or delay.
To the fullest extent the law allows, ParkAlert is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for a paid plan in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Apple and Google
If you downloaded ParkAlert from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and ParkAlert, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support or any claim about it, though they are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must also follow the store’s own terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute that cannot be settled informally will be decided by the competent courts of the State of Qatar, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, and will change the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
